I see this song as equally sung by the Doctor and a hypothetical companion. This particular version is great because there is both a female and male voice, almost like they’re singing a duet, but without hearing each other.

Foo Fighters - No Way Back

Pretty literally what travelling with the Doctor would mean.

Regency Buck - Free To Change Your Mind

A song I connect to the darker RTD era Doctor, much because of a fanvid I saw a while back. It makes me think of the relationship the Doctor has with his companions.

Florence + The Machine - Cosmic Love

According to me the definitive Amy song.

Swedish House Mafia - Save The World

Well, yeah. There needs to be one hero song. I connect this song to the eleventh Doctor. It also reminds me that the Doctor rarely does things on his own or single-handedly.

Colbie Caillat - Brighter Than The Sun

A song for the first part of Martha’s run.

OneRepublic - Good Life

And now a song for Rose. Pre-Doomsday. Post-Doomsday’s…a bit different.

Nerina Pallot - Everybody’s Going To War

Definitely sung by Amy. The lyrics are not a perfect fit, but I think it has some points at this stage of the story when they know that there are dark times ahead.
